Here is arguably his most famous tune -
Wedding March, (after the end of act 4) - from 'A
Midsummer Night's Dream'. Purcell, Orff, and Britten, to name but a few,
were also attracted to write music for this play.
Since
Mendelssohn's time many organists and others have adapted the tune as a recessional for modern
