The Worlds of Gilbert and Sullivan

We have borrowed a few masterpieces (from the developing G&S site) which give a special reminder (or expectation) of Spring. For instance click here if you would like to see some Lambs in Spring pictures.

There are lots of other stories and tunes to draw from, which made our choice difficult (but not uninteresting).

Try some of them for size! There's Mendelssohn's 'Spring Song', followed by  'Robert's Spring' by Robert Schumann, then 'To Spring' by Edvard Grieg, who . . .  but that's all in the story to come later! Lastly but not leastly! we have 'Spring Flowers', which is another of our G&S gems from The Mikado, and then there's . . . we could go on, try some for yourself . . .

Don't forget to look (and listen) into our  Summer Sounds!, and our Autumn Tones!  and also Winter Warmers! or look back to the Queen's special 2002 Golden Jubilee . . .

Let's start with a Spring Song!
