Soldiers' March
A Spring Song

Robert Schumann wrote this lively little march as part of his Album for the Young (Album für die Jugend) Opus 68 Book II. It has certainly appealed to the 'young of all ages' ever since! There are piano versions of this available (see Bibliography), so if you want to play it yourself borrow a copy from your local library or purchase one from a music shop.

This is a tune for action! Hope you enjoy our arrangement of Robert's miniature masterpiece. Maybe you feel the desire to march, tap your feet (or dance) to it - feel free! Or just listen and enjoy the simplicity of this magical tune from a musical master.  . .

And lastly to hear A Spring Song . . .?
