During our searches we discovered many Operatic Societies which specialise in G&S productions. 

Please let us know of any others, or any further details about societies. Here is a sample of our initial findings . . .

bulletAbbots Langley G&S Society. Formed in 1951 by the Vicar of St Lawrence Church, it now performs in the Watford Palace Theatre and other venues.
bulletBolton Catholic Musical & Choral Society. Began as a Parish Society in St Edmund's Bolton, some 50 years ago. Later performed in parish halls and the Technical College. Now a tour de force in Bolton staging many productions at the Albert Hall, Bolton.
bulletBournemouth G&S Operatic Society 
Formed in 1947 in Bournemouth. Poole Arts Centre became Society's home in 1978. Performances in Towngate Theatre and other far-flung venues.
bulletBrussels Light Opera. 
bulletBurnley & District G&S Society
bulletBristol G&S Society. Originated about 1965.Performs annually in a Bristol Theatre and frequently at other national venues and competitions.
bulletChildren's Festival Production. For several years the International Gilbert & Sullivan Association has formed a children's section. They have performed in Buxton and in the USA. Auditions, rehearsals and show are accomplished in a week culminating in a live performance at the Festival.
bulletChimes Musical Theatre. Led by a talented G&S historian and writer Selwyn Tillett, (spare-time Rector of Beddington in Surrey). Formed in 1987 it evolved into an expert group of professionals and amateurs who perform mainly for charity.
bulletDerby Gilbert & Sullivan Company.
bulletEdmund Rice Group Waterford
bulletFestival Production - brings together G&S enthusiasts from all over the world to perform a G&S opera at the Buxton International Festival.
bulletGilbert & Sullivan Opera Company. A professional company who, amongst other commitments, performed three G&S operas at the 2000 Buxton Festival.
bulletGilbert & Sullivan Pick-up Members Players USA
bulletG&S Players USA. The Gilbert & Sullivan Players, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA performed Thespis in the Buxton G&S Festival in 2000

bulletLincoln Gilbert & Sullivan Society was formed in 1963. It performs G&S and other ambitious works.

bulletNene Opera. Comprised of 'The Wandering Minstrels' and friends from Oundle and Peterborough. Well known to Buxton Festival audiences for their G&S concerts in the Paxton Theatre.

bulletOxford University G&S Society. Thriving in its current form for over thirty years, perform three shows a year from G&S or their contemporaries. Two performances are presented in the Holywell Music Room, Europe's oldest purpose-built concert hall. Other performances take place in a variety of concert venues. bulletPutteridge Bury G&S Society. Founded in 1971by a lecturer at the Putteridge Bury College of Teacher Training near Luton. Now widened to include anyone from South Bedfordshire - North Hertfordshire with an interest in G&S. Its Website: www.pbgs.org encourages members and friends from far and wide.
bulletRadlett Light Opera Society. Formed in Radlett Village in 1972. Performed locally and in many parts of the world.
