Morning
The Mountain King
Anitra's Dance
Solveig's Song

This justly famous majestic and joyful piece of music comes from one of Edvard's larger works, called The Peer Gynt Suite.

Morning, or Morning Mood, was primarily used as the introduction to Act 4, Scene 5 which was set in a stony region of the North African desert. Later it was transferred to precede Act 4, Scene 1, set on the south-west coast of Morocco, towards sunset, not nearly so suitable. But that's theatre for you!

Whatever the original intention, it is now one of the most treasured of concert musical items. Imagine that glorious sunrise wherever you are and enjoy our arrangement of Edvard's imagery to the full . . .

Now, how about visiting the hall of  Edvard's   Mountain King . . .?
