She ignores the warnings that her former lover, Don José, is seeking her out to kill her for her infidelity, a sad fact which is shortly manifested in a knife attack. But before this, Carmen and Escamillo declare their love for each other in this wonderful (brief) duet . We've arranged it first in French and then repeated it in an English translation (experts' advice welcome), to give a reasonable audience interpretation as performed in our Village Singers' 2006 concert - A Taste of France.
