The Worlds of Gilbert and Sullivan

Here is arguably Felix Mendelssohn's most famous tune - Wedding March, (after the end of act 4) - from 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. Purcell, Orff, and Britten, to name but a few, were also attracted to write music for this play. And there's lots more about this story in the main web site . . .

Since Mendelssohn's time many organists and others have adapted the tune as a recessional for modern weddings. Hope you like our arrangement, and that it brings back lots of lovely (Summer?) memories.

Feel free to  draw a picture of the scene, dance, or  hum (or whistle) along with Felix's lovely Summer march . . .

Now what about a tune to Speed Your Journey . . .?
