Bridal Chorus
Antonin Dvorak

The Bridal Chorus (or Bridal March, if you wish) comes from Richard's 3 Act Opera, 'Lohengrin'. Wagner composed this opera to his own libretto, and Liszt conducted its first performance in Weimar in 1850. It reached London in 1875.

Adapted by innumerable organists for church weddings, the Bridal Chorus (or Wedding March) occurs early in Act 3, Scene 1, of the opera. Lohengrin is a Knight of the Holy Grail, and is the son of Parsifal - subject of another great opera by Richard Wagner.

We don't always get the opportunity to hear the whole of this majestic composition at our own, or our friends' weddings, so sit back and enjoy the MusicSmiles' arrangement we have prepared for you. You may be tempted to do a march yourself or paint a picture illustrating the scene in your mind.

Whatever your inspirations, enjoy Richard's tune for all it is worth . . .

Lovely isn't it?  Like to hear it again . . .?
