This is almost certainly the most famous fanfare and gallop (charge?) composed for any opera. It is part of the Overture to William Tell by Rossini. As a concert piece it never fails to excite audiences and musicians alike. We hope you will remain on your seats during our MusicSmiles arrangement of this short explosion of musical joie de vivre. But it might also make a good dramatic dance, feel free to exercise your choice in the matter . . .
Now maybe you would like to hear some more music selected from Gioacchino's opera William Tell . . .? |
